ABOUT ME
Putting My Experience to Work
I’m honored to be running for Georgia State House District 100. As a wife, mother of three amazing sons, and proud grandmother, my heart for service is rooted in family and community. For years, I’ve worked along side many to make Gwinnett County a thriving place to call home.
I currently serve as the Chairwoman of the Gwinnett County Zoning Board of Appeals, my second term on the Gwinnett County Citizens Budget Review Team, and the GCPS Policy Committee, focusing on fair practices, fiscal transparency, and policies that support our students and families. My experience as Co-Chair of TP Gwinnett Moms, former Second Vice Chairwoman of the Gwinnett GOP, and former Director of Gwinnett for Truth in Education has allowed me to serve our neighbors through community programs, family support, and education advocacy.
I’m stepping forward because real change doesn’t happen from the sidelines — it happens when we work together for a seat at the table,
🎯 My Promise to District 100

As your representative, I will work alongside my fellow lawmakers to ensure Georgia remains the place you’re proud to call home — passing legislation that benefits you, your family, and future generations. Together, it's OUR voice that can build a brighter future for Georgia.

❤️ Meet the Rumbaugh Family
“Different roots. One home. Stronger together.”
Blended. Faith-rooted. Service-minded. Proudly Georgia.
We’re a proud blended family with military roots and a beautiful mix of Eastern European, Hawaiian, and Asian heritage. Our story is one of faith, service, and love—love for God, for our country, and for the community we’re blessed to call home. Georgia isn’t just where we live; it’s where we’ve raised our family, and found purpose in giving back.
Our family’s story brings together traditions from across oceans and generations.
-
Eastern European- resilience and determination
-
Hawaiian heritage- hospitality, humility, and joy
-
Asian- respect for elders and community
This blend has taught us to honor where we come from while building a future together here in Georgia.
Traditions We Love
-
Dinners with recipes passed down through generations
-
Lei-making, and celebrating milestones the island way
-
Holiday dishes that blend a little bit of then and now
-
Community service—teaching the next generation to give back
Faith & Values
Our faith grounds our decisions and our daily life.
-
Faith first: We strive to honor God in how we live our lives and helping others.
-
Family always: We take time for meals, prayer, games, and service.
-
Character counts: Integrity, accountability, and compassion guide our steps.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
Safe Schools, Safe Communities
No parent should fear putting their child on the bus.
No student should walk the halls in fear.
No teacher should have to step into a fight to protect their students.
Yet that’s the reality too many face today — and it’s unacceptable.
Our schools should be places of learning, not fear. When violence goes unchecked in our schools, it doesn’t stop at the classroom door it spills into our neighborhoods, forcing law enforcement to deal with the consequences of a system that failed early on. Our police officers deserve our full support, not added burdens.
I will work for immediate, real solutions to restore safety by enforcing existing laws and strengthening them where they fall short. That means:
-
Holding students accountable for violent behavior.
-
Ending “soft on crime” policies that enable repeat offenders.
-
Backing our law enforcement officers and first responders.
-
Building stronger partnerships between schools, families, and police to stop the cycle of violence before it begins.
But safety isn’t just physical — it’s emotional.
Our youth are facing unprecedented mental health challenges that can’t be left to overworked counselors alone. Every school deserves access to licensed mental health professionals who can provide the care and guidance our children need.
Protecting our children, supporting our police, and restoring safety in our schools and communities isn’t just policy — it’s a promise to every Georgia family.
Platform
Eliminating State Income Tax
My goal is simple — to responsibly eliminate Georgia’s state income tax. This isn’t about politics; it’s about people. It’s about helping hardworking Georgians keep more of what they earn so they can take care of their families, their homes, and their futures.
Everywhere you turn, prices are rising. Families are stretching their budgets, small businesses are fighting to stay open and keep employees on payroll, and too many Georgians are doing more with less. It’s time for a real, lasting solution.
By eliminating the state income tax, we can:
-
Grow our economy and attract new businesses.
-
Support small businesses that keep our communities strong.
-
Create better jobs and ensure more money stays in your paycheck.
We’ve seen this approach work in states like Florida and Tennessee—where families are thriving, businesses are booming, and opportunity is growing. Georgia can—and should—do the same.
This will take a careful, step-by-step plan that prioritizes smart budgeting, cuts wasteful spending, and protects essential services while keeping our communities strong.
When families and small businesses thrive, Georgia thrives. Together, we can build a stronger, more affordable future—right here at home.
Improving Veterans Healthcare
As the wife of a disabled veteran, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges our heroes face when trying to access the care they’ve earned. Too many veterans wait months—or even years—for proper treatment because of bureaucratic failures and oversight within the VA system.
No one who has served our country should ever have to fight for medical care or travel hours to Atlanta just to receive it. We need to meet them where they live.
I am committed to changing that. Georgia’s veterans deserve faster, more accessible medical and dental care—with options available closer to home. By expanding partnerships between the state, local healthcare providers, and community clinics, we can bring quality care directly to the areas where our veterans live.
Our heroes stood for us. Now it’s time we stand for them—by cutting through red tape, improving access, and ensuring every Georgia veteran receives the timely, respectful care they’ve earned.
